MacBook Review
Tech 2006/12/08 01:07 |
It's been a week already since i got the MacBook. I love it!! I really really do Love it
since i'm a switcher (although not completly switcher), i'd like to write a some sort of review of macbook
Spec
2.0 gHz Core 2 Duo
80GB of HDD
1GB of Ram
13.3 inches; 1280x800
Hardware
Yeah i was really thinking about getting a thinkpad x60 due to size and light weight. MacBook is somewhat bulky and i definently can feel the weight. It isn't too bad though, i carry it around everywhere i go to, but it never been too heavy to carry it around. I know, little bitty lighter would be a lot better, but it isn't to the point i'd hate to carry it around due to the weight.
When i was getting it, a lot of people were telling me that screen size is too small. 9/10 told me 14" or larger would be a lot more comfortable to use it. Excatly day 11 i'm using it, i never had a problem with it. Resolution is good, (my 19inch monitor is 1280x1024.. little bitty shorter isn't giving me any problem) and letters aren't small at all. I do like the size of it.
Yeah keyboard feels little cheap. MacBook isn't MacBook Pro, i'd prefer better meterial if i had a choice, but i like the total flat lay out of keys and the size of keys.
Wish optical drive is bit more quiter
Oh yeah.. the battery, it isn't too bad
i can use this w/ internet on for good 4~5 hours.. depend on the screen brightness- it isn't bad as i heard
Programs
Lists of programs that i use
Firefox, Thunderbird, Pro Tools 7.1.3, MPlayer, ITuens, MS Office, Keynotes, Pages, and Toaster
Yeah as i heard MS office runs bit slower. It isn't too bad that i can't use it.. well i have to use it, cause everyone uses it to write a paper and whatever-
I like iwork better though. why? it looks fancier than MS office!! hahah. yeah seriousely, that's the only reason. Also Firefox, my one and only browser!!
It isn't light at all as it used to be, but all the plugs in and etc, can't get by w/out it!!
MPlayer is originally the best media player for linux system. I gues sthey ported to Tiger now. It runs flawlessly, i love it.
11 days of using MacBook, i relaly really love it. It almost replacing my AMD FX60 desktop!! (not just portability, performance wise) Many people also asked me if i tried bootcamp or parallels; to me either i'm using mac or pc, there's no reason for me to run windows on my macbook. It isn't light, but it isn't heavy to be concerned. Powerfull? Yes it is very powerfull!!
I'm very satisfied of using this for 11 days :)

Subject: thinkpad x60 씽크패드
Tracked from love-affair 2007/06/22 18:47 Delete왜.. thinkpad엔 골수팬들이 많은가?..
