I finally switched over to Palm Treo 800w.  A very long long waited time (not really, whole time since it came out I was in guatemala) has finally come.  Actually I got this on Aug 8th with a real good deal.  Let me just say i paid significantly less than normal price, in a legal way.  I had a good week to play around with it and wow. All I can say is this is fantastic.

Of course there few cons, no device is perfect not even iPhone 3G!, but I think there are definitly more Pros than Cons.  I've been using POS (Palm OS) for many years now and was bit worried to switch over Windows Mobile. Last time I used Windows based smartphone/pda was Pocket PC 2002 using Toshiba e310 and it wasn't that good of operating system as far as I remember.

Now many years have been passed and Treo 800w came with Windows Mobile 6.1. Wow, what a difference from PocketPC 2002! Also lots of functions from POS that i'm used to with third party programs are already included in Windows Mobile 6.1.  Also built in Wifi, I know I wouldn't use it too much since 800w also comes with EVDO Rev.A and my coverage is pretty good, with a button that can turn it on/off is a great addition to awesome device.  Talking about EVDO Rev.A, it is also major upgrade from EVDO.  Speed test consistently give me 700~800kBit/sec which is almost 2~4 times faster than 755p and also faster than iPhone 3G!!!

The size and weight of it became perfect too.  A lot lighter, almost light as regular handset's weight. Thickness is also a lot thinner than 755p.  I know my picture doesn't show much differences in thickness but once you actually play with it you'll know.  To acomplish lighter and thinner design, Palm shed huge chunk size of treo's battery.  Now it shares exact same battery as Palm Centro, 1150mAh versus 1500mAh of 755p.  A lot smaller, but a lot less battery capacity.  I used to barely get by a day with 1500mAh, this is something i should think about and maybe get an external battery.

One thing i didn't know is compaitability with Mac. Since i do not have missing sync yet, it's really hecktic to sync with mac.  Also mac doesn't detect the device that well either =\

Wow, i can't believe July just passed by so fast.
I don't think I can put out what I've done past month in this, maybe some day I will, I'd like to post simple version of what has been going on in my life month of July.


1. Radical 180 Summer Revival Breakout @ Asbury College in Wilmore, KY



What an amazing learning time and experiences that I never experienced before. God surely changed many views of my life and really teaching me how to become a man who He want me to be. Also amazed by how much younger brothers and sisters getting touched and changed by His love. Absolutely amazing!


2. Radical 180 Summer Mission Trip - Region of El Estor, Guatemala. From July 13 - Aug 2



My Second year of trip to Guatemala. God showed me His glory, justice, mercy, grace, love, compassion, and etc. More than what I gave to Him, He blessed me even more and equipped me in ways that I ever expected. So many stories to unfold, hopefully as I process this trip through and capture all the things that I have to, i'll be able to post more about this trip

Next year, we are going back to Guatemala again! Anyone who's interested in it please keep this in prayer and ask God, if this is for you or not!
Another busy month is coming ahead. I'm very excited and grateful the journey which God has put in my life.
