I've been reading lots of articles and me2day notes about children's day. It is a forgotten holiday to me since i'm a grown up (hopefully haha) and in US, we don't have the special day for children. The reason i'm posting up this on my blog is cause what someone told me in my early days in US. I don't remember who it was exactly, i think he/she was my teacher at school. As a student, i really really liked a day off, i complaint that i had to come to school on May 5th, Children's day. The teacher looked at me strangely and asked me what is children's day. So i replied back with this is a day for children. The teacher gave me a look of 'are you seriouse'
with propaganda type of voice "In US, everyday is Children''s day".
I don't doubt that it isn't same way in Korea, it is just a special day, so that Children will feel special. Not just another ordinary day, but they for them so they can ask their parents to take them wheverever they want, eat whatever they want, it's like special day with a pass to do anything they want to do and won't get much trouble to ask.. I remember my days on children's day and all those good memories :)
I wish i'm in Korea every year on children's day lol
